First of the summer sun

Our 'balcony' has looked quite bare all winter and quite frankly a little sad. The remnants of a tiny rose plant that blew into a corner and a single olive plant were the only things to adorn the 3000 x 1000 mm space. Oh and the TV aerial. So two weeks ago at the first signs of spring/summer, Kyle and I went walkies down to the garden centre nearby and pottered around like a couple of old biddies hunting for a couple of additions to our green family.

With a whellbarrow borrowed from the garden centre we plodded on home laiden with tall-hand-like-one, short-curly-one, huge-green-leafy-one, tiny-green-flowers-one, and red-flame-flowers-one. score.

Since giving them their new homes, Molly has found a liking to wondering through the jungle balcony. Am now contemplating getting Molly a pet. Should keep him occupied and all. Then again, he's spoilt as it is.

Now, working on writing, I've spent a couple of afternoons reading out there although today was brilliantly sunny and I had to leave the books inside for once.

Even K ventured out toteing a Magners and bribing me with chocolate cornflakes in order to let him have some room.

Bring on the summer I say. xxw
